Somatic Spirituality: An Introduction to Integrating the Body in Your Sessions
In-person gathering on Tuesday, October 14th at St. Raphaela Center, Haverford, PA
Please join us Tuesday, October 14th, for a conversation on Somatic Spirituality: An Introduction to Integrating the Body in Your Sessions with our speaker, Alicia Divers, MA, MA-SD, SE, Somatic Practitioner: Spiritual Direction and Somatic Coach.
How do we help others encounter God not just in their thoughts and emotions—but in their bodies? In this one-hour introduction, we’ll explore how the body holds spiritual experience, how stress and trauma can shape our connection to the divine, and how integrating somatic awareness into spiritual direction can support healing and transformation.

Alicia Divers has spent her entire career in full-time ministry and currently serves as the Pastor of Community and Mission at Good Shepherd New York, an inclusive ecumenical church in Manhattan. In addition to her pastoral role, she is a trauma-informed Somatic Spiritual Director and Enneagram practitioner who specializes in integrating somatic approaches into spiritual direction. Her work centers on facilitating inner healing by reconnecting individuals to the wisdom of their bodies. Alicia is particularly passionate about helping people navigate faith, trauma, and transformation through body-based spiritual practices.
